How To Install Quarter Round Without A Nail Gun

Have all your quarter round cut and ready to go. Place all the quarter round pieces in front of the area.  You are going to need to have the following tools:

Put down the first cut piece of quarter round against the wall.  Get your hammer and several finishing nails.  Really bang the hammer as you are going to need the nail to reach the baseboard.  Don’t bang the nail in all the way.  Leave out about 1/8 inch of nail for the finishing part. Keep doing this with all your cut pieces of quarter round trim.

Once you have installed the quarter round let go back to do some finishing touches.  Grab your nail set and pick a nail set that will be smaller than the finishing nail head.

Put the nail set on the nail head and drive the remaining finishing nail all the way into the quarter round trim.

Once you have completed this on all the trim go back and fill the holes with putty so it’s easier for painting and the hole will no longer be visible.
